How To Make Konya City Tour

ITINERARY;

At 08:30, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cappadocia to commence the tour. The first stop will be the Sultanhani Caravanserai, situated along the historic Silk Road. Recognized as the largest and most well-preserved caravanserai on this ancient route, Sultanhani’s history traces back to the 13th century, representing a monumental milestone in caravan hospitality
Then, after a 1.5-hour journey, we arrive at the Mevlana Museum in Konya. Mevlana Tomb, called “Mevlana Museum” in Turkish, is on the must-see list of Konya. There is a tomb inside called the Mevlana Museum. One of his other names is the famous mystic/sufi/thinker Mevlana and his tomb is the neighboring museum where the remains of his life and period are exhibited. Inside the museum, you will have the opportunity to see many works of art from the Seljuk period, as well as old manuscripts, manuscript copies of the Qur’an, musical instruments used in the Mevlana period.
After the museum visit, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, the next stop of this tour will be Alaeddin Mosque, one of the most interesting examples of Turkish Architecture. The mosque is famous for its wooden columns that support the entire structure. There is a cemetery for the Sultans in the courtyard of the mosque. Karatay Madrasa (Theology School) will be the last place to visit. This building has a magnificent portal door, one of the best examples in Turkey. Mevlana gave his speech to his followers at the Karatay Madrasa. You can see different tiles from the Seljuk Turks period and the tiles in Kubadabat Palace.
After the last stop, the tour ends around 17:30-18:00 and we return to Cappadocia to drop you off at the hotel. You will be at your hotel between 20:00 and 21:00.
